HOW I WRITE SEX

For me, writing sex is a lot like a d/s relationship.

I am the Dom, the words are my subs, and the story is our “scene”

I know how to get what I want, and my subs know how to give it to me–contracts are established prior to this–but every scene comes with one unique dynamic–Me–the medium between story-world and sub.

My job is to dominate the subs and force them to my will. The scene always begins with lots of foreplay and slowly builds. I work the words in every position you can fathom until they give me the heat I demand, the scents I crave, the taste of sweat and the symphony of nasty sounds that make my body boil. If they don’t make me boil, nobody gets a climax.

Sometimes, I work the subs for thirty minutes to an hour, it depends. It might be just two paragraphs, but if it doesn’t have my clit clenching mark all over it–we don’t stop until it does.

My final seal of approval.

And that’s what goes into a sex scene for me.

P.S.

(the d in d/s is lowercased to show powers are equal and leadership is but a gift of privilege)

And you are a Master at word massage. Not a single eye roll while reading your most recent novella, “Hungry Angel.” Your sex scenes were in keeping with their characters, much appreciated.

As always thanks for the great storytelling…it’s always something to look forward to!

I started reading about 10 yrs ago. I was always a slow reader and couldn’t visualize anything when it was told or read. Twilight was my first book (don’t laugh) because my girls made me watch the movie. Then it began. ANYWAY… Christine Feehan and Maya Banks were my first authors. I believe I started with the best so my standards were high. You are definitely up there with the best Lucian. It’s been amazing to be apart of this journey. I believe, one day, everyone will know your name. You are truly Blessed. Hey,,,could u write a book for husbands and wife’s that they could read together. Instructional for couples. Him and her POV. Just thought I’d throw that out there.

And you do it like a true master!

  5. My sex scenes are always written from the female point of view and thus the very opposite. But extremely useful to get the Dom’s viewpoint. In the end there is only one secret to great writing and that’s great writing.

I usually refer to males as the more dominant and females as the more submissive. The intention is NOT to say that ALL relationships should fit that pattern. My relationship experience is with male dominant, female submissive arrangements and that is the only sort of relationship I have firsthand knowledge about.
